Although we heard rumor of rain in Wilder this weekend, it never arrived. I hope that you were fortunate enough to get some wherever you live. This week we will attend the September Land Board meeting where there will be opportunity for comment and also voting on the grazing rate proposal. It has changed and can be viewed on the IDL website. ICA will be there to comment on the rate. Also at this meeting, they will be accepting contracts that were bid on this summer, including the lease that converts a sheep grazing permit to a conservation permit to be held by Western Watersheds Project. This agenda item does not allow for comment, but the discussion from our land board members will be interesting and educational.
Hope your calves are growing and your cows are bred as we begin the fall run of wean and preg.
